Roma Climbs to 8th in Serie A After Comeback Victory Over Como

Rome: AS Roma secured a provisional eighth spot in Serie A with a 2-1 comeback win over a 10-man Como team, pushing the lakesiders to the 13th position.

According to Ansa News Agency, Roma’s victory came after French midfielder Lucas Da Cunha put Como in the lead with a goal in the 44th minute. However, Roma responded strongly in the second half. Belgium winger Alexis Saelemaekers equalized in the 61st minute, and Ukraine striker Artem Dovbyk secured the win with a goal in the 76th minute.

The match saw a turning point when Como’s German centre-back Marc-Oliver Kempf received a red card and was sent off in the 63rd minute. This advantage helped Roma to dominate the latter stages of the game. The triumph marks Roma’s fourth consecutive victory in Italy’s top football league.

Roma now sits on 43 points, two points ahead of AC Milan, who face off against Lazio at the San Siro later. The victory has boosted the Giallorossi’s prospects as they continue their winning streak in Serie A.
