Rape in Rome Park, Suspect Arrested

Rome: Carabinieri have arrested the alleged perpetrator of the rape of a 60-year-old woman that occurred at dawn on Sunday in Tor Tre Teste park in Rome.

According to Ansa News Agency, the suspect is a 26-year-old man of Gambian origin, who is an illegal immigrant in Italy. The man is accused of robbery and sexual assault.

He was apprehended near Termini station, where authorities took him into custody.
