Puglia Ends Relations with Netanyahu Government Over Gaza Conflict

Puglia: Puglia Governor Michele Emiliano on Thursday severed ties with the Israeli government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, citing the “genocide of defenceless Palestinians” in Gaza. Emiliano took a firm stand by instructing all managers and employees of the Region, along with its Agencies and participating companies, to cease all forms of relations with the institutional representatives of the Israeli government. This directive extends to any individuals linked to the government who are not actively working towards stopping the violence against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

According to Ansa News Agency, Emiliano emphasized that this decision is directed specifically at the Netanyahu government and not the Israeli people. The governor’s action reflects growing international concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and underscores Puglia’s stance on the ongoing conflict.
