Prospect of Tariffs ‘Undeniably Worrying’ Says Confindustria Chief
Rome: Emanuele Orsini, the president of the Italian industry confederation Confindustria, expressed concern on Thursday about the possibility of the United States imposing new tariffs on European goods. Orsini remarked that this prospect was undeniably worrying for European industries.
According to Ansa News Agency, Orsini highlighted that a significant shift in trade paradigms has occurred. He emphasized the urgent need for Europe to adopt a long-term vision that prioritizes the competitiveness of its industrial system and, consequently, social growth. Orsini urged European leaders to act with courage and immediacy in response to the potential tariffs.
Orsini stated that the concern over the tariffs is undeniable, describing it as an unthinkable paradigm shift.
