Priority on Serious Negotiations for Ukraine, Says Meloni

Rome: The priority is to have serious negotiations on Ukraine beyond dates and places, Premier Giorgia Meloni said after talks with Danish Premier Mette Frederiksen at Palazzo Chigi in Rome.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni emphasized the importance of focusing on substantial negotiations where all parties demonstrate a genuine willingness to progress. “Beyond dates and places, the priority to be reached is that there are serious negotiations, in which the interlocutors all want to demonstrate their willingness and desire to move forward,” stated Meloni.

Meloni underlined that the goal is to achieve a ceasefire and a comprehensive peace agreement, which must include security guarantees for Ukraine. The discussions highlighted the need for committed diplomatic efforts to ensure a lasting resolution to the conflict.
