Pope Francis’s Therapy Adjusted Due to Complex Clinical Condition

Vatican City: Pope Francis’s therapy for a respiratory condition has undergone changes due to the complex nature of his clinical picture, the Vatican press office announced on Monday.

According to Ansa News Agency, recent tests have revealed a polymicrobial respiratory tract infection, necessitating an alteration in the pontiff’s treatment plan. The Vatican emphasized that the tests conducted so far indicate a complex clinical condition that requires an extended hospital stay.

The 88-year-old Argentine pope has been hospitalized at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital since Friday, following breathing difficulties attributed to bronchitis.
