Pope Francis Resting After Quiet Night, Vatican Confirms
Vatican City: Pope Francis has spent a quiet night and is resting, the Vatican Press Office reported on Wednesday morning.
According to Ansa News Agency, the pontiff remains in a critical but stable condition as he battles pneumonia at the Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome.
In a bulletin issued the previous evening, the Vatican Press Office stated that while the Pope’s clinical conditions remain critical, they are stable. “No acute respiratory episodes have occurred and the hemodynamic parameters continue to be stable,” the Medical Bulletin released Tuesday evening noted.
The prognosis for Pope Francis remains guarded following a new CAT scan. The bulletin added that the Pope “had a scheduled CAT scan this evening for radiological monitoring of bilateral pneumonia. The prognosis remains reserved,” it concluded.
