Rome: Pope Francis is eating and intravenous feeding has never been mentioned, the Vatican said as he continues to battle pneumonia in a Rome hospital Saturday. The Pope can eat solid food and in all these days intravenous feeding has never been mentioned, Vatican sources specified, without giving further details on what foods are administered to the Pope during these days of hospitalization.

According to Ansa News Agency, it is reiterated that Pope Francis is not bedridden and that he can therefore move and even walk, albeit with assistance as he has done in recent times, even before hospitalization.
