Police Target Neo-Nazi Group in Nationwide Operation.


Bologna: Italy’s State police on Wednesday arrested 12 people in a nationwide operation targeting a white-supremacist, neo-Nazi group called ‘Werewolf Division’. The coordinated action underscores the ongoing efforts of Italian authorities to combat extremist ideology and safeguard public security.

According to Ansa News Agency, the police executed searches at the homes of 13 individuals. These searches were carried out under a warrant issued by a Bologna judge following a request from prosecutors in the city. The investigation aims to dismantle the group’s operations and gather evidence against those involved.

The suspects are currently under investigation for several serious charges. These include criminal association for terrorism, propaganda, and incitement to commit racial, ethnic, and religious discrimination. Additionally, they face charges related to the illegal possession of firearms, highlighting the potential danger posed by the group.
