PD MEP and Councillor’s Photos Manipulated and Posted on Porn Site

Rome: A centre-left Democratic Party (PD) Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and a PD town councillor have reported the porn site Phica for allowing manipulated photos of them to be posted in sexual poses.

According to Ansa News Agency, MEP Alessandra Moretti, 55, has filed a criminal complaint against the Phica forum site. She discovered that the site had been stealing photos and clips from TV shows she appeared on over the years, altering them, and sharing them with thousands of users. Moretti expressed her distress, stating that the altered images and a long list of obscene comments have not only damaged her emotional well-being but also threatened the safety of many women exposed to this practice.

Valeria Campagna, 27, a PD councillor in Latina, shared her experience on Facebook. She revealed that some of her photos, including moments from both her public and private life, were posted on the online forum without her consent. Campagna described the comments below the photos as sexist, vulgar, and violent, with some even discussing her personally. She expressed her disgust, anger, and disappointment but emphasized the importance of speaking out, noting that this story is not just about her, but about the right of all individuals to be free, respected, and live without fear.
