PD, M5S, AVS to Demonstrate in Rome Square for Gaza

Rome: The centre-left Democratic Party (PD), the progressive 5-Star Movement (M5S), and the leftwing Green-Left Alliance (AVS) have announced a joint demonstration in Rome on June 7, aimed at drawing attention to the situation in Gaza. The leaders of these political groups confirmed their participation in the event scheduled to take place in a Rome square.

According to Ansa News Agency, the demonstration has been organized as a national effort to protest against the ongoing violence affecting the Palestinian people. Green leader Angelo Bonelli, M5S leader Giuseppe Conte, Italian Left leader Nicola Fratoianni, and PD chief Elly Schlein have emphasized the importance of this event, urging people to mobilize in response to what they describe as an unbearable situation. They have called for a collective effort to halt the actions of the Netanyahu government in Gaza, which they have condemned as a massacre.

The leaders have also stated that the demonstration will be built on a parliamentary motion jointly presented by their parties, outlining their stance on the issue. This event marks a significant collaboration among these political entities, representing a unified front on the matter.
