Partner of Italian Woman Killed on Formentera Arrested for Murder

Formentera: The Italian partner of an Italian woman killed on Formentera on Sunday was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday. The man being questioned for the death of 45-year-old Luisa Asteggiano is Ivan Sauna, 51, originally from Busto Arsizio and the owner of a travel agency.

According to Ansa News Agency, the man, who was in a relationship with the victim, has been arrested on murder charges, according to official sources. The victim, found dead on Sunday in her apartment in Es Pujol, a tourist resort on the Balearic island, was Asteggiano, originally from Bra, in the province of Cuneo.

The man is awaiting transfer before the magistrate of the preliminary investigations section.
