Paris 2024: Bronze medal for Cyprus’ Karolina Pelendritou in 100m breaststroke final

Karolina Pelendritou won the bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke final in the SB11 category of the Paralympic Games Paris 2024 on Thursday evening.

The Cypriot Paralympian took third place with a time of 1:21.64, finishing behind Russia’s Daria Lukianenko who took first place, and China’s Ma Jia who finished second, with times of 1:18.31 and 1:19.24 respectively.

This was the Cypriot champion’s second medal at the Paris Paralympics after her silver in the 50m freestyle, and her eighth medal in Paralympic Games overall.
