Palermo-Naples Ferry Catches Fire Off Capri
Palermo: A ferry traveling from Palermo to Naples caught fire, causing panic among the 155 passengers on board. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to Ansa News Agency, the fire began in the engine room, disabling the ship’s engines. In response, the captain issued a mayday call, and two tugboats were dispatched to tow the vessel safely to Naples. The crew managed to extinguish the fire.
The ferry is operated by the Moby line.
