No Surprise if Israel Behind Drone Attack, Says UN Official

Tunis: Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur for the Occupied Palestinian Territories, expressed on Tuesday that it would not be surprising if Israel were responsible for an alleged drone attack on a boat belonging to the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) off the coast of Tunisia.

According to Ansa News Agency, Albanese addressed reporters in Tunis, stating, “We don’t know who carried out the attack, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were Israel.” Albanese, who has faced sanctions from the US government, highlighted the potential implications of the incident, noting, “If confirmed, it would be an attack on Tunisian sovereignty.”
