Ninfa Garden Reopens with Spring Blossoms
Rome: The garden of Ninfa, located south of Rome and celebrated by many as the most romantic garden in the world, is set to reopen this weekend, showcasing a stunning display of early spring blooms.
According to Ansa News Agency, visitors will experience a delightful array of blooming magnolias alongside the vibrant yellow of forsythias, viburnums, Hamamelis, and the first roses. This botanical haven in the province of Latina, renowned for its beauty and attracting 80,000 visitors annually, offers the sight of Prunus with the initial blooms of Japanese cherry trees, the color variations of Cercis and Corylopsis, and the emergence of bulbous plants in the meadows and waterways. Additionally, the first flowers of ornamental apple trees are beginning to appear.
With the advent of spring, the Roffredo Caetani Foundation has released the 2025 opening schedule on their website, www.giardinodininfa.eu. The site provides details on booking and purchasing entrance tickets and guided tours, which are available exclusively online. The garden will be open on weekends until November 8 and 9, including public holidays such as Easter, May 1, and Ferragosto on June 2.
From July 12 to August 10, during the hottest days, special sunset visits are planned. Visitors can choose between two extended routes: The Garden of Ninfa and the flora, and The Garden of Ninfa and the ruins, featuring “secret” areas typically not accessible. The Literary Parks season will also restart, continuing the collaboration with the Holden School and the International Music Campus.
Summer events will extend to the Caetani Castle in nearby Sermoneta, a charming hill town, enhancing the cultural experience for visitors.
