Mother and Son Arrested for Initiating Gunfight Leading to Woman’s Death

Brescia: The 59-year-old mother and 16-year-old son of a 44-year-old woman, who succumbed to gunshot wounds at a hospital in Brescia last week, have been arrested. They are suspected of initiating the gunfight that resulted in the woman’s death. The incident occurred at a Sinti camp on Lake Garda, where the victim was shot three times in the abdomen.

According to Ansa News Agency, the victim, identified as Sinti woman Dolores Dori, was shot at the Lonato del Garda camp. Her husband later transported her to a hospital in Desenzano del Garda, where she was pronounced dead.

Police reports indicate that Dori, along with her mother, allegedly drove into the Roma and Sinti camp and began firing at a group of people. The altercation was recorded on a phone by Dori’s son. During the confrontation, an individual from the group returned fire, critically injuring Dori.
