Morata Heading for Como After Brief Galatasaray Spell
Rome: Spain skipper and striker Alvaro Morata is heading for Serie A club Como after an unhappy 12-game and six-goal spell at Turkish side Galatasaray. The 32-year-old Madrid-born former Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and AC Milan centre forward announced his departure on social media.
According to Ansa News Agency, Morata expressed his gratitude to Galatasaray fans and the people of Turkey for their support and warmth. He shared that their affection made him feel welcome from the very beginning and was among the most significant experiences of his career.
However, Morata noted that his experience with the club did not meet his expectations, prompting his move to the Italian side, Como. The transfer marks another chapter in Morata’s career, which has seen him play for several top European clubs.
