Milan Bourse Closes 2.39% Up Amid Mixed Tariff Signals


Milan: The Milan bourse closed 2.39% up with the FTSE-Mib index rising to 35,843 points amid mixed signals regarding tariffs from President Trump. The US president stated he was considering exemptions for auto parts but was also contemplating increasing taxes on semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.



According to Ansa News Agency, the mixed tariff signals had varying impacts on other European markets. London closed 1.41% up, Paris 0.86% up, and Frankfurt 1.43% up. The signals from the US also affected the New York markets, where the Dow Jones opened 0.16% up, the Nasdaq 0.11% up, and the S and P 500 0.18% up.
