Miklós Soltész Highlights Role of Churches in Community Development at Evangelical Kindergarten Event.

Churches serve the community, according to Miklós Soltész, the State Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office responsible for church and ethnic relations, and vice president of the KDNP. He made this declaration during the laying of the foundation stone for the new evangelical kindergarten in Bakonycernye. Soltész emphasized the continued trust in church institutions across Hungary, highlighting their involvement in social and educational endeavors.

According to KDNP, the State Secretary pointed out that churches in Hungary have been instrumental in the renovation or reconstruction of more than 200 kindergartens in recent years. He expressed satisfaction that construction of two new evangelical kindergartens is set to begin this year in Bakonycsernye and Sopron. Soltész also noted that budget allocations for such projects will continue next year.

Soltész outlined that the contributions of churches align with the government’s family policy, which includes doubling the family tax allowance and supporting hom
e creation and renovation in smaller settlements. Gábor Töro, the region’s parliamentary representative, spoke about the historical role of Hungarian church educators and highlighted that the new kindergarten in Bakonycsernye will be the third church-run facility in the Mór district.

Balázs Turi, the mayor of Bakonycsernye, commended the local Lutheran church and Bishop István Szarka for their efforts in establishing the new kindergarten. Gergely Prohle, national supervisor of the Evangelical Church of Hungary, stressed the importance of early education in developing future leaders, a sentiment echoed by András Bencze, the deputy bishop of the Western Evangelical Church District, who referred to Jesus Christ as the foundational rock for both the church and the kindergarten.

The new kindergarten will feature three group rooms within a three-story, one thousand square meter building, equipped with an elevator, gymnasium, and multiple service rooms.
