Rome: Premier Giorgia Meloni on Thursday engaged in a phone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister and G7 duty head Justin Trudeau, where she emphasized the significance of doing everything possible to secure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, as stated by her office.

According to Ansa News Agency, the discussion involved an exchange of views on key international issues and recent developments concerning Ukraine. Palazzo Chigi noted that Meloni highlighted Italy’s alignment with the rest of Europe, the Atlantic Alliance, and Kyiv, stressing the importance of prioritizing efforts to halt the conflict and achieve peace.
