Vatican City: Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Wednesday paid homage to the body of Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Basilica.
According to Ansa News Agency, the late Argentine pontiff, who passed away on Easter Monday at the age of 88, is lying in state until his funeral on Saturday. Following the funeral, he will be interred in the basilica of St Mary Major.
