Meloni in Tunis for Talks with Saied

Tunis: Premier Giorgia Meloni is in Tunis on Thursday for a meeting with Tunisian President Kais Saied. The focus of the visit will be the Mattei Plan for Africa and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, sources said.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Meloni government’s Mattei Plan, named after the late Enrico Mattei, the founder of Italian energy giant Eni, seeks to boost partnerships with African countries in the agriculture and energy spheres and strengthen cooperation on halting illegal migrant flows.
