Meloni Expresses Condolences for Mannheim Attack, Stands in Solidarity with Germany

Rome: Premier Giorgia Meloni on Monday sent her condolences for an attack in Mannheim where a suspected far-right militant drove his car into a Carnival crowd, resulting in the deaths of two people and serious injuries to five others. “I express my condolences for what happened in Mannheim,” Meloni stated.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni emphasized closeness to those affected and their families, extended best wishes for the injured, and expressed full solidarity with Germany as a nation. She highlighted the importance of maintaining vigilance against any form of violence, stating, “Attempts to destabilize democratic nations will not prevail and it is our commitment to keep our guard up against any form of violence.”
