Mattei Plan Summit Scheduled in Rome with Meloni and Von Der Leyen

Rome: The Italian government is set to host a summit on its Mattei Plan for Africa in Rome on June 20. Premier Giorgia Meloni and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen are scheduled to attend, as announced on the government’s website.

According to Ansa News Agency, the summit will be held at Villa Doria Pamphilj and will be titled “The Mattei Plan for Africa and the Global Gateway: A common effort with the African Continent.” The event will be co-chaired by Meloni and von der Leyen, commencing at 11 am.
