Man Convicted of Killing Pregnant Girlfriend on Appeal

Milan: A 31-year-old barman at a luxury Milan hotel has been sentenced to life in prison once again on appeal for the murder of his seven-month pregnant girlfriend in May 2023. Alessandro Impagnatiello was convicted of multi-aggravated premeditated murder, interrupting a pregnancy, and concealing a body.

According to Ansa News Agency, the victim, 29-year-old real estate agent Giulia Tramontano, originally hailed from Sant’Antimo, north of Naples, but resided in Senago near Milan, where she lived with Impagnatiello. The court heard that the crime was premeditated, as Impagnatiello had attempted to poison Tramontano with rat poison several months prior to the murder.

The court was informed that the incident escalated during a confrontation over Impagnatiello’s new lover, leading to the fatal stabbing. Following the murder, Impagnatiello attempted to destroy evidence by burning Tramontano’s body, but his actions were uncovered, leading to his arrest and subsequent conviction.
