Man Confesses to Killing and Decapitating Woman in Montecatini Terme
Montecatini Terme: A 32-year-old man has confessed to killing Maria Denisa Adas Paun, a 30-year-old Romanian woman whose decapitated body was found near an abandoned farmhouse in the Tuscan province of Pistoia.
According to Ansa News Agency, the suspect, a Romanian security guard, admitted to strangling the woman in a residence in Prato. He then decapitated her and placed her head in a rubbish bag. The rest of the body was put into a suitcase, and he loaded everything into the boot of his car.
The man claimed that he committed the murder because the woman was blackmailing him. She allegedly threatened to reveal to his wife that he was paying her for sex unless he provided her with 10,000 euros.
Italy has been experiencing a series of femicides, drawing public attention and concern.
