Leonardo Acquires Swedish Cybersecurity Firm Axiomatics to Enhance Zero Trust Solutions

Rome: Italian aerospace and defence giant Leonardo has bolstered its cybersecurity portfolio by acquiring Swedish firm Axiomatics.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Rome-based conglomerate announced that it has acquired 100% of Axiomatics AB, marking a strategic move to strengthen its cybersecurity positioning through the enrichment of its portfolio with innovative proprietary products. The acquisition is set to expand Leonardo’s offerings by integrating a key component for a comprehensive Zero Trust solution. This cybersecurity model operates on the principle that trust is never implicit, and every access to a system, network, or data must be continuously verified.

Leonardo’s Global Cybersecurity Platform (GCC Platform) incorporates this approach, providing a holistic view of the digital environment through cyber observability. This capability allows for the proactive anticipation of increasingly advanced and pervasive threats, further enhancing Leonardo’s cybersecurity measures.
