Kremlin Awaits Vatican’s Mediation Proposal on Ukraine Conflict

Moscow: The Kremlin announced on Wednesday that it has not yet received any proposal from the Vatican to mediate in the ongoing Ukraine conflict, though it expressed openness to the idea of mediation from all sides involved.

According to Ansa News Agency, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia remains open to contributions from any nation willing to facilitate a swift resolution to the conflict. Peskov emphasized that while the Vatican has not made any formal mediation offer, Russia appreciates the willingness of countries aiming to assist in resolving the situation.

Peskov further noted that no decision has been made regarding the venue for potential future negotiations. This statement was made in reference to information provided by the Interfax agency.
