Juvie Crime Chief Removed for Calling Pope Francis ‘Anti-Pope’

Emilia-Romagna: Juvenile Crime Centre interim Director Antonio Pappalardo was removed from his post Thursday after calling Pope Francis an anti-pope. Last Tuesday, the head of the Justice Ministry’s Department of Juvenile and Community Justice, Antonio Sangermano, ordered “an investigation into the statements attributed to the director”, an investigation that led to his removal Thursday.

According to Ansa News Agency, reports from some parliamentarians revealed that Pappalardo accused Pope Francis on social media of being “an ‘anti-pope’ who had taken over the Church”.
