Ambassador of Italy Joins Israeli Leaders at Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony

Jerusalem: The Ambassador of Italy to Israel, Luca Ferrari, participated in the solemn annual ceremony of Holocaust Remembrance Day, in the presence of the Israeli President, Isaac Herzog, the Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, and all the highest civil and military offices of the State of Israel at the Holocaust Memorial in Jerusalem.

According to Ansa News Agency, Ambassador Ferrari commented on the occasion, addressing a thought of respect and emotion in honour of the memory of 6 million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. He emphasized the necessity for unwavering efforts to prevent the tragedy of the Shoah from being repeated. Ferrari stated, “Never again cannot be just words but must be translated into daily commitment. The remembrance and recognition of what was an abyss of humanity is still denied today by those who feed dangerous spirals of anti-Semitism.”

Ambassador Ferrari highlighted the importance of focusing on the education of new generations to ensure that, as the Holocaust becomes a more distant historical event, its memory remains strong. This, he noted, is essential to prevent the resurgence of hatred and denialism.
