Juventus Confirms Igor Tudor to Continue as Coach Next Season
Turin: Igor Tudor is set to stay on as Juventus coach next season, as announced by the Turin giants’ new General Manager Damien Comolli. Tudor, a former Juve defender-midfielder, was appointed in March following the dismissal of Thiago Motta.
According to Ansa News Agency, despite the team not experiencing a dramatic improvement in form under Tudor’s leadership, the 47-year-old managed to guide Juventus from fifth to fourth place in the Serie A standings, securing a spot in next season’s Champions League. This achievement comes amid rumors of his potential departure, fueled by speculations that Juventus was considering the return of Antonio Conte. However, Conte opted to remain with Napoli after steering them to the Serie A title last season. Additionally, the club had reportedly engaged in discussions with Gian Piero Gasperini, who ultimately signed with AS Roma after a successful nine-year tenure at Atalanta.
