Judiciary Reform Victory for Dad Says Marina Berlusconi

Rome: The approval of a reform of Italy’s judiciary to prevent prosecutors and judges from swapping roles is hailed as a victory for late three-time ex-premier and media mogul Silvio Berlusconi, his daughter Marina Berlusconi stated following the Senate’s final approval.

According to Ansa News Agency, Marina, who is 59 and leads her father’s business empire, expressed that some victories arrive late, perhaps too late, but they remain significant and decisive. She attributed the victory to her father, Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away at 86 in June 2023 after years of dominating Italian public life and engaging in legal battles that he claimed were acts of persecution by left-leaning magistrates.

Marina, who is the president of Fininvest and Mondadori and the former prime minister’s eldest daughter, emphasized that it was her father’s strength, courage, determination, and, regrettably, his suffering that made this achievement possible. She described the reform as an important step forward for democracy and truth in Italy.
