Italy’s Tax Burden Increases to 42.6% in 2024

Rome: Italy’s tax burden increased by 1.2 percentage points in 2024 to 42.6% of GDP, Istat said on Monday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the rise in the tax-to-GDP ratio reflects an increase from the previous year, where it stood at 41.4% in 2023. The national statistics agency provided these figures, outlining the changes in the country’s fiscal landscape.
