Italy’s Public Debt Reaches Record 3.034 Trillion Euros in March

Rome: Italy’s public debt reached a new peak of 3.0339 trillion euros in March, marking an increase of 9.5 billion euros compared to February, as reported by the Bank of Italy on Thursday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the rise in debt was influenced by a public sector borrowing requirement of 23.7 billion euros in March. This increase was only partially mitigated by a reduction in the Treasury’s liquid assets, which decreased by 13.9 billion euros, bringing them down to 62.2 billion euros.
