Rome: Italy’s GDP remained unchanged in the third quarter of 2024 compared to the previous three months, showing a modest rise of 0.4% from the same period in 2023, based on seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted data released by Istat on Monday.
According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency reported a 1% increase in final consumption expenditure from the previous quarter, while gross fixed capital formation saw a decline of 1.2%. Additionally, imports rose by 1.2% whereas exports fell by 0.9%.
In comparison to the third quarter of 2023, final consumption expenditure rose by 0.4%, gross fixed capital formation decreased by 1.1%, with imports and exports rising by 0.6% and 1% respectively.
The carry-over annual GDP growth for 2024 is projected to be +0.5%.
