Italy Win European Athletics Team Championships

Rome: Italy won the European Athletics Team Championships in Madrid on Sunday, retaining the title the Azzurri also took in 2023.

According to Ansa News Agency, Leonardo Fabbri and Larissa Iapichino spearheaded the triumph by coming first in the men’s shot put and the women’s long jump respectively.

Iapichino soared 6.92 metres on her fifth attempt to pip Germany’s Tokyo Olympics champion Malaika Mihambo.
