Rome: The government is working to increase Italy’s automotive fund and reach a figure that is “at least equivalent or even higher” than the resources of the old fund, or 750 million euros, Business and Made in Italy Minister Adolfo Urso said on the sidelines of question time at the Lower House Wednesday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Urso explained that 200 million euros remain from the fund for next year, together with the 500 million euros already allocated from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) allocation for industries in the transition phase.
However, Urso emphasized that “this time, such significant resources will be entirely directed to supporting businesses and their productive investments” and not to incentives. This strategy aims to provide robust support to the automotive sector, which has been facing challenges.
