Italy Strengthens Bilateral Ties with Kazakhstan

Italy: Italy’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Antonello De Riu, met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Construction, Ersaiyn Nagaspayev. The talks covered strategic areas in which Italy has expertise.

According to Ansa News Agency, Italian leadership in mechanical engineering, agribusiness, textiles, renewable energy, and digital technologies is ready to support initiatives to promote innovation in Kazakhstan. Italy is also poised to develop sustainable partnerships in rare earths. Furthermore, as Kazakhstan seeks to diversify its economy, Italy can aid in the modernization of the energy sector through advanced refining and petrochemical solutions.

The conversation between the ambassador and the minister also included academic exchange, with a focus on strengthening ties through educational programs. Italy offers support to small and medium-sized enterprises by sharing its best practices in business development, access to finance, and internationalization strategies to aid Kazakh entrepreneurs.

Finally, Ambassador De Riu reaffirmed Italy’s commitment to greater bilateral industrial cooperation and promoting mutual investments, particularly within Kazakhstan’s special economic zones, “to build bridges of innovation, sustainability, and shared prosperity.”
