Croatia Plant Inauguration By Italian Firms Marks Milestone In Bilateral Economic Cooperation

Velika gorica: Italy’s Ambassador to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, addressed attendees at the opening ceremony of a new industrial and sanitary gas production plant. This facility, a result of collaboration between Italian companies Siad and Sol, is situated in Velika Gorica, near Zagreb.

According to Ansa News Agency, the plant represents a significant investment of 50 million euros and has received financial backing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The facility employs 30 people and is designed to produce high-purity liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. These products will be manufactured using techniques that emphasize energy efficiency and sustainability.

The inauguration ceremony featured notable attendees, including the Presidents and CEOs of Siad and Sol Groups, Bernardo Sestini and Aldo Fumagalli Romario, the Mayor of Velika Gorica, Kre…¡imir Ackar, the Croatian Consul General in Milan, Stjepan Ribic, and representatives from EBRD. Ambassador Trichilo highlighted the importance of this Italian investment in Croatia, noting its role in enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and supporting Croatia’s sustainable growth trajectory.

Ambassador Trichilo also referenced recent significant events underscoring the growing economic ties between the two nations, such as President Mattarella’s visit to Zagreb and the Croatia-Italy Business Forum in the Croatian capital. This new plant, he emphasized, serves as a testament to the strong commitment of both countries to bolster their economic and trade relations.
