Italy Prepares Largest Food Aid Shipment to Gaza

Rome: Italy is preparing its largest food aid shipment to Gaza, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, in the humanitarian field, the Farnesina is preparing new reception operations and the largest shipment of food aid to Gaza since the beginning of the crisis: 100 tons in total, collected thanks to contributions from key Italian organizations.

This is one of the recommendations that emerged from the Gaza reconstruction coordination meeting at Palazzo Chigi, chaired by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani.

A strong focus will also be placed on healthcare and training, which represent the fundamental pillars of Italy’s efforts to strengthen Palestinian institutions, the Foreign Ministry emphasized.
