Italy Opposes Israel’s Decision to Occupy Gaza, States Premier Meloni

Rome: Italy cannot support Israel’s decision to occupy Gaza, Premier Giorgia Meloni stated on Wednesday. “Israel’s reaction is decidedly disproportionate, a situation that can only worsen with the occupation of Gaza City, a choice that Italy cannot support,” said the leader of the right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party, Giorgia Meloni. She made these remarks from the stage in Ancona during a campaign event to support FdI candidate Francesco Acquaroli’s bid for re-election as governor of the Marche region.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni expressed concerns about the ongoing situation, noting the refusal of Hamas terrorists to release hostages. She emphasized the importance of building peace through actions rather than relying solely on slogans.
