Italy Hits 67% for Waste Recycling
Rome: In 2023, Italy achieved a recycling rate of 66.6% for waste, positioning itself among the leading European Union nations in waste recycling, as reported by ANCI-CONAI on Thursday.
According to Ansa News Agency, this achievement marks a 5% increase since 2019 and a 1.5% rise from 2022. The report highlights that 11 out of Italy’s 20 regions have surpassed the 65% recycling rate. Notably, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, and Sardinia are at the forefront of this environmental effort.
