Italian Navy’s Alpino Frigate to Cease Tracking Global Sumud Flotilla

Rome: The Italian Navy’s Alpino frigate, which is currently monitoring the Global Sumud Flotilla, will issue an alert to the vessels involved in the mission to breach the Israeli blockade. The alert will inform them that the frigate will cease its tracking efforts when the flotilla reaches a distance between 100 and 120 nautical miles from the Gaza Strip, likely on Wednesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the frigate will also warn the flotilla boats of the potential dangers they face if they continue their journey towards the shore of Gaza. The decision to stop following the flotilla comes amid heightened tensions surrounding the mission’s objective to challenge the blockade.
