Italian Language Gala Celebrated at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade

Belgrade: As part of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, the Italian Ambassador to Belgrade, Luca Gori, hosted at the Residence the third edition of the “Italian Language Gala” in Serbia. The event made it possible to highlight the vitality and charm of a language that continues to unite and inspire.

According to Ansa News Agency, the evening opened with the performance “The Art of the Body” by Luca Filippo Vullo, who is recognized as the Ambassador of Italian gestures worldwide. This performance was dedicated to body language and gestures in Italian communication. Following this, the show “Cos¬ fan tutti: voices and journeys of Italophony across borders” was presented. This performance, curated by Serbian teachers and students of Italian, was a musical and literary journey tracing the Italian language around the world, from Mozart’s travels to Italy to the tales of Serbian diplomats and authors in cities such as Rome, Venice, and Florence. It also included modern reinterpretations of Italian music, featuring Serbian artist D…¾ej Ramadanovski.

The Gala also featured an award ceremony for the “In…Canto Italiano” competition, organized by the Dante Alighieri Committee of Vranje, with a performance by the winner. An Italian aperitivo was offered to representatives of the cultural, academic, and Italian community in Serbia to conclude the evening.

Ambassador Gori remarked, “Tonight we rolled out the red carpet in the Residenza to honor the Italian language, which is one of the most precious treasures of our identity, as it combines culture, art, tradition, and a view to the future.” He added, “In Serbia, this language lives thanks to the passion of the teachers, the commitment of the students, and the collaboration between Sistema Italia and local institutions.”
