Italian Industrial Turnover Declines by 0.7% in August
Rome: Italy’s industrial turnover experienced a decline of 0.7% in August compared to July, as reported by Istat on Thursday. The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index revealed a drop in value terms, reflecting challenges in both domestic and international markets.
According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency highlighted that revenues on the domestic market decreased by 0.1%, while foreign market revenues fell by 1.8%. The report also noted a slight decrease in industrial turnover by 0.1% compared to August 2024.
Furthermore, the services sector experienced a downturn, with turnover down by 1.2% in August compared to July. However, the sector showed a slight improvement of 0.2% when compared to the same period last year.
