Italian Government Plans Anti-Drone Security Measures for Airports and Infrastructure

Rome: The Italian government is planning anti-drone airport security and infrastructure measures, Defence Minister Guido Crosetto said Tuesday. “We are studying measures to secure not only airports but all of Italy,” he stated at the Amari base in Estonia, regarding possible anti-drone plans for Italian airports.

According to Ansa News Agency, Crosetto emphasized that while there are currently no perceived threats to Italian airports, the comprehensive plan under consideration will encompass all infrastructure. This initiative aims to ensure that various facilities, including airports, are effectively monitored and protected in the future.

Crosetto confirmed that the plan is already in existence and highlighted the ongoing progress towards its implementation. The minister’s comments underscore the importance of developing and deploying security measures to safeguard vital infrastructure against potential drone-related threats.
