Italian Firms Show Reduced Pessimism, Reports Bank of Italy
Rome: The Bank of Italy announced on Tuesday that its latest survey, focusing on companies with over 50 employees, revealed a decrease in pessimism among Italian businesses regarding their future prospects in the second quarter of 2025. The survey indicates a shift in sentiment, reflecting a more optimistic outlook compared to previous assessments.
According to Ansa News Agency, the assessment of the general economic situation by Italian businesses remains largely unfavorable. However, the gap between firms with a negative outlook and those perceiving improvements has notably decreased. The central bank’s findings highlighted that 32% of manufacturing firms and 12% of service firms experienced negative impacts due to the U.S. announcements and the implementation of tariffs.
