Italian Families’ Purchasing Power Rises in Early 2025
Rome: Italian families’ purchasing power increased by 0.9% in the first quarter of 2025 with respect to the previous three months, Istat said on Monday.
According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency reported that, excluding a drop in the last three months of 2024, purchasing power has been on an upward trend since the first quarter of 2023.
It was noted that nominal disposable income rose by 1.8% in the first quarter and consumer spending increased by 1.2%.
Additionally, the agency highlighted that the propensity to save was up 0.6 of a percentage point to 9.3%.
