Italian Exports to Non-EU Countries Down 8.1% in August

Rome: Italian exports to non-EU countries dropped by 8.1% in August compared to July, according to seasonally adjusted data released by Istat on Monday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the national statistics agency reported that imports were also down in August, by 7.1% in month-on-month terms. The report indicated that exports to non-EU countries decreased by 7.7% with respect to August 2024, while imports experienced a 3.1% decline.

Istat revealed that Italy had a trade surplus of 1.777 billion euros with non-EU countries in August, a decrease from 2.794 billion in the same month last year. Furthermore, excluding energy, the surplus amounted to 5.348 billion euros, down from 7.038 billion in August 2024.
